About IDEAL

We are a fifth generation in the business, that has been manufacturing fine
wood products since 1886. In 1977, we turned our focus to Architectural
Flush Wood Doors and Plywood with the acquisition of Ideal. Our manufacturing
facility has 96,000 square feet and employs nearly
seventy people. Our 1999 expansion into the
manufacture of Custom Stile & Rail Doors has given Ideal "single source" status
for all of your Door & Panel needs. |
| Our Materials: |
| **We use the finest particle core available, containing 100% recycled and recovered wood fiber, which allows us to offer generous warrantees against warp. Laminated strand lumber (LSL) core doors enable Ideal to factory warrant stile and rail doors as well as those with full-lite cutouts. |
| **Ideal uses mineral core for 45, 60 & 90 minute Warnock Hersey rated fire doors. These, along with our 20 minute rated doors, are available for both neutral and positive pressure tested applications. |
| **Our top and bottom rails as well as our inner stiles are made from engineered lumber (LSL), offering great stability and moisture resistance. Our outer stiles are hardwood and can be matched (in most species) to the face veneer. |
| **Ideal inventories more than 2 million square feet of raw veneer and we manufacture our own faces from all commercially available veneer. We use a hardboard crossband for strength and stability and face the doors with veneer, as well as medium density overlay (MDO) for paint and plastic laminate. Our laser cut "sketch face" doors and panels are manufactured under the same stringent quality standards as a typical door order. | **Our custom finishing is second to none. We can custom match any color and give you a finish that will last. Ideal regularly finishes doors to meet the demands of the highest caliber Architectural Woodworkers in the country. |
| **Ideal also factory machines for hinges, locks, card readers, concealed vertical rod devices, etc. Just include your requirements in your pricing requests. |
